SHREVEPORT, LA–In a match-up between Fisk University and Dillard University on November 12, 2024 during the semifinals of the HBCUAC Championship, Dillard came out on top with a 3-0 victory. The scores were 25-19, 25-15, and 25-18 in favor of Dillard.
Fisk struggled to get their offense going as they hit just .118 as a team. Sydney Willis led the team with 13 kills, but it wasn't enough to overcome Dillard's strong performance. Reagan Jones added 8 kills, but the team's overall attack percentage was hindered by errors and strong defensive play by Dillard.
On the other side, Dillard had an impressive hitting percentage of .327, with Vanae Sapp leading the team with 13 kills. The team had a balanced offensive attack with multiple players contributing to the win. Nanyelis Moreno and Tyramae Fautanu had strong performances with 17 and 19 assists respectively.
