(18)Eagles Roll Over Saint Katherine

CARLSBAD, CALIF. – The Embry-Riddle women's soccer team continued to its excellent defense, shutting out its eighth consecutive opponent on Saturday night. The Eagles put together a great effort in the second half on its way to a 3-0 win against Saint Katherine.

ERAU scored all of its goals in the second half, and they all came in a 14:58 stretch as the Eagles pulled away. Adelie Zechmann scored in the 63rd minute to break the scoreless tie, then assisted on the final goal of the contest in the 78th minute.

Rae Yoshioka was the one to score in the 78th minute, giving Embry-Riddle the commanding lead. Jamie Black scored the middle goal, pushing the ERAU lead to 2-0 in the 67th minute.

Embry-Riddle's shutout streak now sits at 747:36, and have not allowed a goal since the opening match. Annabelle Ruckle made a pair of saves in her sixth win of the season.

The Eagles will come back home to host a pair of games next week. The two-game weekend will start on Thursday against La Sierra, with kickoff scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
