The Eagles sprinted to an 11-2 lead in the first and cruised to the 25-9 win before using a quick 5-0 run in the second to break an 11-11 tie in the second. Kills from Aubry Koester (Apple Valley, Calif.) and Brooke Trompler (Campton, Ky.) clinched the 25-17 win in the second set.

The home squad trailed by as many as eight in the third frame but tied the set at 23 before ultimately coming up short as St. Mary-of-the-Woods forced a fourth set.

Midway trailed 6-5 in the fourth, but three consecutive kills by Anju Sugiya (Tokyo, Japan) sparked an 8-0 run that gave the home team a 13-6 edge. They never trailed again as they ran away with a 25-14 win in the fourth to clinch the 3-1 victory.

Aubry Koester led the offensive attack with 25 kills and a .333 hitting clip, while Brooke Trompler added 12 kills and 16 digs in the win.
