
Lamoni, Iowa - The Central Methodist Women's Basketball team ended its two-game losing skid with a convincing 81-44 road win over Graceland University Saturday afternoon in Lamoni, Iowa.
CMU improves to 6-7 and 3-6 in the Heart of America, while Graceland drops to 2-9 and 0-8 in conference play.
Central saw 13 different Eagles score a point in the 37-point route of the Yellowjackets. Senior guard Sharay Trotter led all scorers with 14 points, followed by Kaelyn Johnson with 11.
The duo of Sa'Mya Stevens and Nautica Washington each chipped in nine points while Elli Teubert and Bianca Bindzus both tallied seven.
Central finished the afternoon shooting 51.6 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the free throw line. The Eagles held GU without a three-point basket for the entirety of the game and just 33.3 percent from the field.
CMU's bench produced 37 points compared 20 for Graceland. Central also outrebounded Graceland 33-27.
Central returns home for its final game of 2024 against Peru State College Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
