University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines Face Challenging Outcome Against No. 4 Aquinas Saints

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- In a hard-fought league matchup, the University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team faced off against the Aquinas Saints at the AQ Athletic Field on Wednesday (Oct. 16) Despite their best efforts, the Wolverines concluded the match with a 1-8 loss.

From the outset, the game proved challenging for the Wolverines as Aquinas took a decisive lead early in the first half. By halftime, the scoreboard read 0-6 in favor of the Saints. University of Michigan-Dearborn's persistence paid off when Juju Kleit broke through Aquinas' defense to score the team's sole goal, assisted by Rena Arabi.

Goalkeeper Julia Tasker was put to the test, facing a staggering 57 shots against her. Tasker saved 19 of these, including several crucial attempts. Despite the score, notable performances included Kleit's efficient shooting, with one goal from a single shot on goal, and Arabi's effective playmaking with one assist.

The Wolverines look forward to their next opportunity for redemption as they prepare to meet Rochester Christian University on Saturday (Oct. 19).
