ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team rolled to a 8-0 victory over non-conference opponent Indiana-Kokomo on Wednesday at O'Laughlin Stadium.
Sarah Ammon and Madalyn Freitas led the way for SHU both recording two goals and one assist. Lily Tiplady, Alyssa Fischer, Keirra Thompson, and Christina Ibanez-Merino all recorded single goals.
Recording assists for the Saints were Sarah Ammon, Emily Broman, Parker Cheney, and Madalyn Freitas.
In goal, Kendall Wise played the entire first half recording one save off of one shot. In the second half, Sydney Eads entered the game and saw no shot attempts on goal.
The Saints started out hot as they scored five goals going into halftime. Tiplady scored first for the Saints in the ninth minute with Ammon on the assist. Going into the break, Ammon, Fischer, and Freitas were the goal scorers to end the first half, with Freitas scoring the final two goals of the half in the 33rd and 37th minute.
During the second half the Saints did not slow down as they outscored Indiana-Kokomo 3-0 in the second half. Ammon scored the first goal of the half with Broman on the assist in the 48th minute, the final two goals were scored by Keirra Thompson and Christina Ibanez-Merino with Cheney on the assist for Thompson's goal in the 50th minute, and Freitas assisting on Ibanez-Merino's goal in the 69th minute.
The Saints will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 18, with a 7 p.m. EDT game at Lawrence Tech.
