Eagles Maintain Pace with Shutout at UPike!
Pikeville, KY - In an impressive showing Wednesday afternoon., the Reinhardt Women's Soccer demonstrated their prowess on the soccer field with a definitive 3-0 win over the Pikeville Bears on October 16, 2024. The Eagles, who are trying to move up the AAC standings, took an early lead in the first half with a score of 2-0 and maintained their momentum throughout the game.
Marta Vicente-Arche, Reese Wise, and Riley Welsh were instrumental in securing the win for Reinhardt by scoring one goal each. The Eagles' next challenge is this Saturday at Ken White Field, where they will face the Bluefield Rams. Currently, Reinhardt stands with a record of 7-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in their conference. The win moves the Eagles to third position in the AAC currently with three games remaining. Besides Bluefield this weekend, Reinhardt will have a tough matchup at Tennessee Wesleyan (currently #2) next Wednesday and a home game with Union on Oct 26th to wrap up the regular season.
