Men's Basketball Falls to Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team fell short in WHAC conference action to Indiana Tech, 82-70 on Wednesday. 

George Kalatzis came off the bench to lead the Saints with 22 points and one rebound. Also scoring in double figures for the Saints was Kobe Clark with 14 points. 

SHU 3-6 (2-2) had a solid first-half showing as they led for nearly the entire duration of the first half. SHU's largest lead of the game was at eight points when they had a 34-26 lead with 2:33 left to go in the first half. Indiana Tech then went on a 10-2 run in the final minutes to tie the game up at halftime 36-36. 

In the second half, Indiana Tech started to pull away as the Warriors started the first 8:09 of the second half on a 20-8 run. Indiana Tech's largest lead was 23 points at 77-54 with 4:18 left in the game. The Saints did finish strong and ended the game on a 9-0 run when they trailed 82-61 with 1:41 left, but the late comeback efforts fell short as Indiana Tech held on to win 82-70. 

On the evening, the Saints shot 41.5% from the floor and 33.3% from behind the three-point line.  

The Saints will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 7, with a 1:00 p.m. EST game vs Lawrence Tech.
