
Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball team got back to its winning ways with an 84-65 win over Clarke University Saturday night in Dubuque, Iowa.
With the 19-point victory, CMU improves 7-3 and 4-3 in the Heart, while the Pride move to 1-8 and 1-4 in conference play.
Destin Jenkins led the way offensively with 20 points while also tallying seven rebounds, and coming away with four steals. Bol Tong had an impressive night with 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.
Brandon Tchouya was the final Eagle to land in double figures with 13 points while also grabbing a team-high nine rebounds. He also dished out three assists.
Senior guard Mario Fantina nearly cracked double figures with nine points, all coming from beyond the three-point line.
Central's shooting was cooking in all three phases, as the Eagles shot 50.9 percent from the floor, 46.2 percent from three, and 88.9 percent from the charity stripe.
The 12 three-point makes are the second most by the Eagles this season.
Central controlled the glass from start to finish, outrebounding the Pride 51-29.
The Eagles will hit the road again on Wednesday, Dec. 11, to take on Park at 7:30 p.m. in Parkville, Mo.
