
Fayette, Mo. - The No. 4 Central Methodist Women's Soccer program battled No. 21 Oklahoma Wesleyan in a Top 25 matchup at Davis Field Friday night.
It marks CMU's first Top 25 matchup of the 2024 season.
Central and OKWU played to a scoreless draw. CMU now stands at 3-0-1 while Oklahoma Wesleyan is now 1-0-1.
Both teams were identical in total shots, as each side produced 11. Both Kaede Yamaguchi and Kirstine Lykke finished with two shots on goal, while Paula Castro and Belen Castillo tallied one each.
CMU held the advantage in set pieces, as CMU finished the match with three corner kicks, compared to none for Oklahoma Wesleyan.
Madison Priebe made several big stops in goal for Central, finishing the evening with six saves in 90 minutes between the posts. Her goal keeper record is now 3-0-1.
The Eagles head out on the road for their first matchup away from Davis Field Wednesday, Sept. 4 against Missouri Baptist at 7:00 p.m. in St. Louis, Mo.
