Cardinals Second Half Shooting Edges Wolverines

DEARBORN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team returned to action against the Concordia University Cardinals in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup. 

The Wolverine offense took advantage of eight Cardinal turnovers in the first quarter, giving UM-Dearborn a four-point lead after one. The Wolverines struggled to find their rhythm in the second, finding themselves down 10 at the half. Concordia would build up its lead in the second half, shooting 66 percent in the back half, handing UM-Dearborn the 92-59 defeat.

Leading the way for the Wolverines was Tamia Tounsel with 12 points, while Bailey Stimac would add 11 points of her own. 

The Cardinals had three players in double-digits, led by Abby Long with a game-high 22 points.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against Siena Heights University at 3pm Saturday afternoon in Adrian, Mich.
