Grayson, KY - The Knights welcomed in Reinhardt for the first game of a three game weekend series. Reinhardt came into Grayson with a 22-4 record overall and a 11-4 conference record. The game was tied at 0 up until the top of the 4th inning. The Eagles scored 2 runs to take the lead. The Knights kept it close and held the Eagles to just those runs. KCU had runners on first and second with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth with a possibility to walk it off but were unable to. The Knights were led by Adam Cooper for 1.2 innings who pitched lights out against the Eagles only allowing 1 hit and aquired 2 strikeouts.
The Knights will be back in action on Saturday at 12PM for game 2 of the series followed by game 3 soon after. KCU looks to regroup and take the series from the Eagles.
