
VIERA, Fla. -- The Siena Heights softball team split a pair of contests at the SpaceCoast Games on Thursday, falling to Calumet, 2-1, and then defeating Fisher, 30-0, in five innings.
The Saints (4-6) will wrap up play in Florida on Friday with games against Waldorf and Hannibal-LaGrange, beginning at 10 a.m.

Ellie Thelen batted 2-for-3 and pitcher Shyann Truax went the distance, allowing two runs on five hits while recording eight strikeouts.
SHU trailed 2-0 when it pushed across its only run of the game. Lee Clinton reached in the fifth on a two-out single and stole second. She scored on an RBI single by Faith Breinager.
Siena Heights 30, Fisher 0 (5 innings)
Both Emma Fair and Rachel Shoemaker went 2-for-2 with three RBI. Fair doubled twice and scored once while Shoemaker tripled, doubled and scored three runs.
Riley Hoover added a 2-for-2 game with a run and RBI. Breinager contributed a double.
Cassi Kieper matched her career-high in the pitcher's circle with her second 14-strikeout game of the week. She is now tied twice for second-most Ks in a game in SHU softball history.
Kieper allowed only one hit in the game.
The Saints scored 12 runs in the first; Fair had a two-run double to start the rally and added an RBI double later in the frame. Breinager drove in a run with her double and Thelen had an RBI single.
The Saints plated 10 runs in the second. Bases-loaded walks were drawn by Brooklyn Ross, Avery Schellenberger, Emma Smith and Liberti Fair. Speer was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
During the Saints' 3-run third, Shoemaker had an RBI triple, Hoover had an RBI single and Kennedy Orlando drew a bases-loaded walk.
In the 5-run fourth, Mack Lane had a bases-loaded walk, Shoemaker crunched a two-run double and Speer and Kam Kasak collected RBI singles.
