
Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball team secured a dominant 89-72 victory over the Park Pirates Thursday night inside Puckett Fieldhouse.
Central improves to 13-13 overall and 10-12 in the Heart of America, while Park drops to 15-11 and 14-8 in conference action.
Four Eagles landed in double figures, including three in the starting lineup. Marcus Anthony led all scorers with 24 points on 75 percent shooting from the floor and three three-point baskets.
He also dished out a team-best five assists while adding four rebounds and a steal.
Destin Jenkins tallied 19 points, three rebounds, a block, and a steal.
Senior forward Bol Tong finished the evening with 12 points, six rebounds, four steals, two assists, and a block.
Mario Fantina was the final Eagle to land in double figures, scoring 11 points, which included going a perfect three-for-three from beyond the arc.
Junior guard Brandon Tchouya stuffed the stat sheet with seven points and a game-high 12 rebounds while matching Anthony with five assists.
Kevin James and Thomas Sowoolu also joined Tchouya with seven points each. Sowoolu nearly earned a double-double with eight rebounds.
The Eagles were lights out from all three phases of the floor, shooting 54.5 percent from the field, 45 percent from three, and eight-for-eight from the charity stripe. CMU's ball movement was extremely efficient, as they dished an assist on 20 of their made baskets.
Central won the battle of the boards, grabbing 42 rebounds compared to 35 for the Pirates.
CMU remains home to host Culver-Stockton College on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
