SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team took a set from third-ranked Lawrence Tech in a 3-1 WHAC loss on Tuesday night.

Daniel Rua had 14 kills and Jonathan Stovring put down eight. Zak Tucker made 24 assists.

The host Blue Devils broke open the first set, leading 12-11 before outscoring SHU 13-5 the rest of the set.

Siena Heights tied the match at 1-all in the second, starting out on a 6-0 run. The Saints had a .368 hit percentage during the set.

LTU (15-1, 5-0) began the third on a 4-1 run and never trailed. Then, in the fourth, the Devils led 11-10 before pulling away for good with a 14-8 stretch to close the match.

Siena Heights (9-8, 4-5) will return to action Friday with a 7:30 p.m. WHAC home match versus Mount Vernon Nazarene.
