Waldorf Falls Short to Bellevue in High-Scoring Battle, 73-63

Bellevue, NE- Waldorf University suffered a tough 73-63 loss to Bellevue University in a thrilling non-conference matchup that brought back memories of their heated rivalry from the NSAA league days. Although the Warriors fought hard throughout the game, they were unable to overcome Bellevue's offensive firepower.
The game, which was played at Bellevue's home court, saw both teams exchanging leads in the early minutes.
Despite the loss, Waldorf head coach Demitrius Martin remained optimistic about his team's growth and potential. "We played with a lot of fight tonight. Did a pretty good job of taking care of the ball. I'm proud of the fight my guys showed tonight, but we have to execute better down the stretch. We let a few opportunities slip away, but this is a learning experience. We'll get better from this."
Looking ahead, the Warriors are excited for the Holidays and will return to the action on Sunday, December 29th where they will face University of North Dakota in exhibition play in Fargo, ND at 2:00pm.
