LIVONIA, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team looked to find a spark against the Madonna Crusaders on Friday (Nov. 8) before heading into the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament next week. The Wolverines could not find that spark as they dropped the match in four sets, finishing the regular season with a record of 14-13 and 6-12 in conference.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 2-0 lead, winning the opening sets 25-20 and 25-21. The Wolverines dominated the third set, trailing once after Madonna won the opening point. The Wolverines hit .212 as a team, putting down 10 kills, while the Crusaders tallied nine errors. Madonna would claim the fourth set 25-19 and take the match.

Marisa Fetterley led the Wolverines with 10 kills in 22 swings. Fetterley added five digs and was strong at the net, tallying six blocks. Jill Paryaski was behind her with nine kills in 21 swings while stuffing the Crusaders four times. Kenzie Mertz led the match with 19 digs, while Laura Chandler recorded double-digit digs. Regan Rose rounded her final regular season game with 32 assists, six digs, and four blocks.

The Wolverines will host Concordia (MI) on Monday (Nov. 11) in the play-in game of the WHAC Tournament.
