Warriors fall on the road

NEW ULM, Minn. - The Waldorf men's basketball team traveled north to Minnesota for a non-conference game against NCAA Division III Martin Luther College. Martin Luther made 17 3s and handed the Warriors a 90-76 setback.
Martin Luther built a quick 14-5 lead before Waldorf closed it to 14-11 following an Anthony Robinson tip-in. Waldorf cut MLC's lead to 2 at 41-39 late in the first half after a Ugo Ejiofor layup. Martin Luther would lead 43-39 at the break.
Martin Luther scored the first 13 points of the second half to take 56-39 lead. Waldorf fought back to cut the deficit to 6 at 60-54 after a John Gray 3-point play. Martin Luther though would slowly extend their lead throughout the rest of the game en route to the 14-point win over the Warriors.
Robinson led three Waldorf players in double figures with 18 points. He also grabbed 11 rebounds. Ejiofor also collected a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Waldorf (0-2) next plays Tuesday at Graceland.
