CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Spartanburg Methodist College women's basketball team posted a 60-54 win over host Johnson & Wales on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers limited the Wildcats to just three third quarter points – all by way of the free-throw line - and landed three double figures in the win.
Tied at 30 at the half, SMC outscored Johnson & Wales, 13-3 in the third quarter on its way to the win. JaiDah Liebert came off the bench to score a game-high 15 points including three 3-pointers. Mia Hansen, who made a pair of triples, added 14 and Najah Gilliam had 10 points.
With the win, SMC is now 9-14 on the season. Next, SMC will travel to Morris in Sumter for a 5 p.m. matchup.
