SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Morningside University women's volleyball team fell to Hastings in the Great Plains Athletic Conference quarterfinals on Saturday, 3-1.
Hastings won by set scores of 25-17, 28-26, 22-25, 25-13.
Morningside, which was seeded fourth in the tournament that started Saturday, was held to .153 hitting.
Morningside (22-10) ended the third set on a 4-1 run. Claire Wilson had the go-ahead kill, assisted by Aleksandra Dalach. Wilson also earned the set-clinching hit that gave Morningside that 25th point.
Wilson – along with fellow senior Sydney Marlow – led the Mustangs with 15 kills. Peyten Lode also had 11 kills. Marlow also had 11 digs.
Dalach had 47 assists.
Kyla Dyrstad collected 11 digs, while Lode had 10. Aureana Bernales had nine.
