Pioneer baseball dropped both contests today, going winless in their tri-match series with Dallas Christian and Southwestern Christian University leaving the Pioneers still searching for their first win of the season.
Game 3

Dallas Christian- 6
Dallas, TX- Dallas Christian College again slid past the Pioneers, scraping out the three-run win in today's opening game. A chilly, foggy, and wet morning slowed the ballgame down with both teams remaining scoreless until the Crusaders capitalized on a struggling Pioneer pitching staff and scored all six of their runs in the bottom frame of the third inning. CRC's Clay Burgess used his legs to take home on a wild pitch the following frame to get the Pioneers on the board and a three-hit link in the sixth, including singles from Trey Drake and Clay Burgess along with a triple from Rilyn Coleman, pushed CRC's last two runs to the plate. Freshman Aydan Trenchard entered the game in the third inning, relieving starter Jack Roney. The Louisiana southpaw would go on to finish the contest, tossing 3.1 innings, allowing 2 hits, no runs, while walking 4 and striking out 2. The Pioneers rallied 5 hits in the contest, Trey Drake led the team with a 2-4 effort.

Dallas, TX- In the Pioneers' last contest of the weekend series, CRC faced a dominant performance on both ends of the ball from the Eagles of Southwestern Christian University with the Eagles scattering 11 hits and fanning 15 pioneer batters in the seven-inning contest. The strong SWCU pitching staff limited the Pioneers to two hits, which both came in the third inning as Junior Conner Boan collected an RBI single in the to right center, scoring Sophomore Parker Gordon who led the inning off with a double to left field. JackHenry Glasgow took the loss for the Pioneers, throwing 4.2 innings, surrendering 8 hits, 7 runs, walking 5, and striking out 1.
