PIONEERS PULL OUT HOME WIN
PARAGOULD, AR - After getting off to a slow start, Crowley's Ridge College stormed back to retake the lead in the first half en route to a 65-62 win over Brescia University. The Bearcats got off to a 10-1 lead in the first four minutes of the game. CRC was able to put their game together and take a 29-26 lead into halftime.
Timquorian Johnson led the Pioneers with 12 points off the bench in the game. Trent McGowan added 11 points for CRC in the afternoon. Johnson and Zak Brown made two free throws each in the last 30 seconds to seal the win.
CRC shot only 41% from the field in the afternoon, but an 8-for-24 effort from the three-point line added to the offense. The Pioneers defense held Brescia to only 40% shooting in the afternoon.
