Kansas City, Mo. – The Swedes took the road to Kansas City, Mo. to take on the Avila University Eagles.
The first half was one to forget as the Eagles scored five goals on 13 shots. Mackenzie Nutter would record three saves in the half.
The second half was won by the Swedes as Grace Van Wagner would capitalize on a handball penalty in the penalty box converting her penalty kick into a point for the Swedes. That was the first goal of the season for Bethany. Nutter would also contribute heavily with the Swedes' second half effort as she would record 7 saves to help shutout the Eagles. The Swedes would ultimately fall 5-1.
