
Drovers Dominate from Start to Finish at Oklahoma City University
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Saturday afternoon, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (15-11, 13-9 SAC) cruised to a dominant 77-55 victory on the road at Oklahoma City University (10-16, 10-12 SAC). The Drovers have won each of the last eight matchups against the Stars since January 2022.
With two games remaining in the regular season, the Drovers sit in sixth place in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings. The top eight teams in the conference qualify for the conference tournament, and the top four seeded teams will host the first round, prior to the tournament being moved to Langston University for the semifinals and finals.
On Saturday, the Drovers got off to a terrific start, outscoring the Stars 19-10 in the first quarter. OCU began to turn things around in the second and both teams scored 13 points, giving USAO a 32-23 advantage at halftime.
Following the break, USAO dominated the third quarter, outscoring OCU 25-13 to hold a 57-36 after 30 minutes of play. The Drovers scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, while holding the Stars to 19 points.
USAO's offense closed the game shooting 30-66 (.455) from the field, 8-29 (.276) from beyond the arc, and 9-11 (.818) from the free-throw line. In comparison, Oklahoma City shot 17-42 (.405) from the field, 3-8 (.375) from deep, and 18-26 (.692) from the charity stripe.
The Drovers scored 28 points in the paint and hauled in 35 rebounds. In comparison, the Stars scored 16 points in the paint and grabbed 34 rebounds.
USAO committed 15 turnovers, which led to 13 points for OCU. Meanwhile, the Stars fumbled the ball 24 times, resulting in 33 points for the Drovers.
USAO was whistled for 20 fouls, while OCU was called for 10 violations.
The USAO offense was led by a pair of incredible performances from Evangelia Davlakou and Alexia Corrales. Davlakou contributed 17 points, six assists, and six steals, while Corrales added 15 points, seven rebounds, and five steals.
Ashley Gonzalez and Devynn Harris provided a huge spark off the bench, scoring 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Franka Kraus concluded with eight points, followed by Madison Hays, Hannah Harris, and Caroliena Diaz with four points each.

The Drovers will now travel to Central Christian College on Thursday, February 20 in McPherson, Kan. The women's game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM CT, followed by the men's game at 7:45 PM CT.
