Tennessee Wesleyan
Spartanburg, S.C. – No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan plated seven runs in the seventh, six in the first and five more in the fourth en route to a 19-1 win over Spartanburg Methodist College on Tuesday afternoon.
Three-different Bulldogs had multiple hits with Daniel Stewart pacing the attack with a 4-for-5 effort with two RBI and three runs scored. Geremy Garcia had three hits and four RBI, plus Josh Shelly had two hits as Tennessee Wesleyan had 14 hits in the win.
Spartanburg Methodist had six hits with Jarian Pinckney and Brady Jeffcoat recording two apiece in the loss. Pinckney drove in the lone run with a RBI double in the fifth inning.
Next, the Pioneers will host Cumberland for a three-game series that will get underway with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mooneyham Field.
