
Trojans Travel to Ohio for Exhibition Against Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Taylor took to the road to play Bowling Green, which competes as an NCAA Division I school and fell 107-43 in a game full of learning moments.
Taylor converted on a backdoor cut to begin the game, with Jackson Ullom finding Kaden Fuhrmann for a layup and a brief 2-0 lead.
The Falcons went on an 18-2 run to take a commanding 18-4 lead, but Taylor responded with a pair of buckets by Pete Combs, followed by a triple from Nate Paarlberg to trim the deficit to seven.
Bowling Green (1-2) made six of its next seven shots, including three from beyond the arc, to extend the lead to 19 at 33-14.
Combs sparked another short run by the Trojans with a bucket, followed by Chaz Harvey converting two layups for his first four points of the contest.
Fuhrmann replicated the first half with the opener in the second stanza on a layup off a dish from Harvey, who put up a stat line of seven points, five rebounds, and two assists for TU.
Combs was the most effective Taylor athlete on the offense night and capped a ten-point showing with a dunk from a pass from Izaiah Day. The sophomore big added three rebounds, a block, and an assist.
Taylor (4-1) begins Crossroads League action next Wednesday, November 20, on the road against Saint Francis (5-1), with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 pm.
