Eagles Upset Nationally Ranked Pilots

The Eagles hosted the 13th ranked Pilots of LSU-Shreveport for game two of a Conference Home Opener with the Women. Men's Basketball upset the (13) Pilots in a 91-77 victory. 

In the first half the Eagles shot 44% from the field and 57% from beyond the arc. The Pilots led the Eagles for the start of the game, but with just under 10 minutes left to play ion the first half the Eagles picked up the intensity and never let off. Every player who touched the floor contributed to the hot shooting by the Eagles as everyone recorded at least one basket in the first half. At the end of the first half, the Eagles were up 46-39. Jakari Livingston and Johnny Melvin led the Eagles in scoring, both recording 7 points off the bench. 

The second half the Eagles brought the same intensity as they did in the first half and shot just as well. The Eagles downed the nationally ranked Pilots in a 91-77 victory, proving themselves to be a contender in the RRAC. 

The Eagles were led in scoring by Jakari Livingston and Doreante Tucker, who both scored 14 points for the Eagles. Doreante Tucker would also lead the Eagles in rebounds with 8, and Rodney Mason would lead all in assists with 7. 

The Eagle will have another tough battle on Saturday, November 16th as they host the 6th ranked Generals of LSU-Alexandria. Tip-off of for the Men's game will be at 3:30pm following the completion of the Women's.
