
Stanley takes two singles games, combines with Pack for one doubles game triumph in SSU men's tennis' loss to Eastern Kentucky
RICHMOND, Ky. -- The men's tennis program at Shawnee State saw Adam Stanley take two games at No. 3 singles and combine with newcomer Taylor Pack to collect a win at No. 3 doubles, but the Shawnee State men's tennis program fell 7-0 to NCAA Division I Eastern Kentucky Saturday afternoon at the Greg Adams Indoor Tennis Center in Richmond, Ky.
Playing Eastern Kentucky's Christian Siemers, Stanley won two games in the first set, ultimately falling 6-2 at the No. 3 position. Stanley and Pack then took a game at No. 3 doubles, falling to Eastern Kentucky's Pepe Miralles and Kartik Parhar, 6-1.
Shawnee State's No. 1 doubles tandem of Daniel Cristobal and Zinedine Arva Purbo took a game from Siemers and Nuno Pinheiro at No. 1 doubles in an unfinished match.
The men's tennis program at Shawnee State will be back alongside the women's tennis program this spring when the Bears face Thomas More (Ky.) in a match that will be held at the Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Ky. Saturday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m.
