Volleyball Sweeps St. Andrews on Senior Day

ATHENS, Tenn.- The volleyball team celebrated Senior Day with a decisve win on Saturday. The team defeated the St. Andrews University Lady Knights 3-0 in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) match.

TWU went on a run in the first set, scoring the first three points on Jia Weathersby serves and eventually moving ahead 10-4 on an Amya Sutton kill. Hunter Ford and Olivia Miller had kills that moved the score to 19-11 as the team went on to take the first set 25-18. TWU had 20 kills in the first set.

In the second set, St. Andrews led for a little while. The team did not allow the opponents to take the set though, coming from behind to win the set 25-19. 

The team ended the match with a dominant win in the third set. The team completed the sweep with a 25-11 win. 

The win moved the team's record to 10-19 overall and 7-12 in the AAC.
