Women's Soccer Picks Up Draw Against Tabor
(Hastings, NE) - Playing their final non-conference game of the season on senior night, in which they honored twelve players, Hastings concluded the match against the Tabor Bluejays with a 0-0 draw.
Hastings controlled the tempo of the first half, attempting nine shots to Tabor's one, but the game remained scoreless at halftime. Senior Dekota Schubert led the team in shots attempted with two in the half.
The second half was much the same as Hastings outshot Tabor 11-1, but neither team was able to get it past the opposing goalkeepers. The Broncos, who scored two goals off of corner kicks a week ago in their loss to USAO, were unable to convert any of their attempted 13 corner kicks.
Schubert led the Broncos with five shot attempts in the second half, totaling seven for the game. Seniors Grace Henry and Sara Pedroza both recorded two shot attempts, while senior Jackson Pedersen recorded a save on the lone shot on goal from Tabor.
Hastings last big scoring chance was in the 86th minute as Schubert's shot was kicked hard off of the Tabor goalkeeper to keep the score knotted at 0-0.
Up next, Hastings will begin their conference slate on Wednesday, September 18th with a home match against Morningside at 5:30pm.
