Alice Lloyd Volleyball faces Indiana University East in RSC play
Pippa Passes, KY: The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball team returned home on Saturday, September 28th, to face the Indiana University East Red Wolves (13-7; 2-2 RSC) in River States Conference action. When the final spike was recorded, East would leave with a 3-0 sweep.
IUE-3; ALC: 0
In the opener, the Hoosier team jumped out to a 13-5 lead before ALC rallied to within four, at 20-16. However, East would close on a 5-1 run to take the win, 25-17.
In Game 2, the two squads matched points early, as IUE held a small 10-9 advantage. The Lady Eagles fought to keep things close but eventually dropped the contest, 25-18.
Game 3, saw the Indiana club open with a big 10-3 run. Unfortunately, the visitors would remain in control of this one as they pulled away to take the game and earn the match with the 25-13 victory.
On the day for ALC (4-12; 0-3 RSC), Jadyn Hall and TK Ellis led the club with 6 and 4 kills respectively, while Rose Scotello handed out 9 assists. Scotello and Natalie Waddell both had a service ace while Gracie Gibson led in digs with 12 and Scotello chipped in with 8.
