LAMONI, Iowa – The Graceland University men's volleyball team continued its strong play with a convincing 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-16) victory over Central Christian on Friday night at Closson Center. The Yellowjackets improved to 3-5 on the season, while Central Christian fell to 0-7.

The win marks Graceland's second consecutive sweep, following Tuesday's 3-0 victory. Head coach Eric Majors highlighted the team's focus on long-term improvement and praised his squad's effort.

"We faced some very solid competition, and our focus this season is improvement," Majors said. "We've made some major strides today and competed well. The first set was really close, and quite honestly, we weren't expecting these matches to be close at the beginning of the season. Instead, we're focusing on us—on improving and developing a long-term focus on success. We want to be playing the best volleyball possible by the end of the season."

Graceland came out strong in the opening set, capitalizing on Central Christian's errors while efficiently executing their attack. The Yellowjackets hit .545 in the first frame, committing just one error while limiting their opponents to a negative hitting percentage (-.417).

In set two, Central Christian found some rhythm offensively, but Graceland weathered the push. Behind key plays from setter Luis Garcia (23 assists) and outside hitter Andrew Cziep, the Yellowjackets regained control late to secure the 25-18 set win.

The final frame followed a similar pattern, with Graceland dictating play at the net and from the service line. Cziep finished with a match-high 12 kills, hitting .391, while Andrew Youssef added seven kills and one service ace. The Yellowjackets closed out the match with a decisive 25-16 win.
