Pioneer Volleyball fell to the Lady Owls of William Woods University this afternoon in three sets. CRC ends the regular season with a conference record of 5-6 and an overall record of 9-15. Sets went as follows: 17-25 WWU, 10-25 WWU, and 13-25 WWU.
Paragould, Ark—Pioneer Volleyball was bested in its final regular-season matchup, swept by the Lady Owls of William Woods University. The Lady Owls controlled the late-morning contest, as the Lady Pioneers only led William Woods in the opening frames of the third set before eventually falling behind and dropping the conference matchup.
Senior Alexis Weirich led the Lady Pioneers with 4 kills, freshman Madelyn Burris led in assists with 8, and freshman Alyssa Dirden led in digs with 9. Hannah Halverson crossed a career milestone as the senior finished her final contest in the Carter Activities Center becoming the second Lady Pioneer to surpass the 1,500 career dig mark. Halverson sits second all-time in digs with 1,507.
