PIONEERS FALL IN SEASON OPENER
Paragould, AR - Zak Brown missed a three-pointer with two seconds remaining as the Pioneers of Crowley's Ridge College fell in a nail-biter to Blue Mountain College 69-66.
Brown had just made a layup and free throw to cut the Toppers' lead to 67-66 with seven seconds left. Bryan Maxey converted two free throws to put Blue Mountain up 69-66 for the final score.
CRC was hampered by 21 turnovers on the night. BMU turned that into 14 points on the night.
Braxton Cousins led CRC with 26 points on the night. Zak Brown added 11 points and Arthur Johnson scored 10 points for the Pioneers.
