Maumelle, Ark., Conway, Ark. & Memphis, Tenn. – Central Baptist College fall student athletes had a busy day and night on the course, court and pitch as the Mustang golf, volleyball and men's soccer teams were all in action on a busy Tuesday. Here's a recap of every sport:
The volleyball team hosted Philander Smith tonight inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse and took care of business, improving to 4-6 on the season in a four-set win that dropped the Panthers to 13-5. CBC's win was the 18th in 26 meetings all-time and they improved to 2-1 in four setters this season and 61-61 in four set matches all-time. The Mustangs had 64 kills and hit .235 while landing seven service aces to just two for the Panthers as CBC avenged an earlier loss to PSU back in September in Little Rock. Madeline Freeman, Lakyn Johnson and Xiangelisse Velazquez all finished with double-digit kills while Freeman and Brooke Schmitz both had 20-plus assists and Freeman, Schmitz, Kailee Walker, Sheridan Rogers and Kate Scroggins all recorded double-figures in digs. CBC travels to Hot Springs on Thursday night for a match against Champion Christian.
