Henderson, Tenn. – Looking to exact revenge against the team that ended their run in last year's NAIA National Tournament, #11 Central Baptist College men's basketball was at the Brewer Sports Center tonight for a clash with the #7 Lions of Freed-Hardeman. #11 CBC (5-1) trailed by seven at the half, forced overtime and another overtime before falling 91-89 to #7 FHU (5-1).
Sage Borbon had a record night for the Mustangs, finishing with 43 points on a program single-game record 10 three-point field goals. 32 of Borbon's 43 came in the second half and overtime as CBC nearly overcame a 15 point first half deficit.

The game went back-and-forth all night, featuring 11 ties and 18 lead changes. Neither team led by more than five early until FHU went on a 12-0 run over a period of just over three minutes to put CBC down 26-14 with 5:13 to play in the first half. The deficit for the Mustangs would stretch to 15 with 2:57 left in the half before CBC began to chip away, closing the half on a 12-4 run to trail 37-30 at the break.
The Mustangs would score the first seven points of the second half and tie the game at 37 and from there, neither team led by more than six the rest of the night. FHU would tie the game at 76 with five seconds to go and Borbon had a three blocked at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime.
In overtime, CBC raced out early, leading 82-78 with 2:19 to play before allowing the Lions to come back and tie the game at 82 with three seconds left. Gabe Johnson would miss a three to win at the buzzer and the game went into a second overtime.
