Alice Lloyd Volleyball plays at Indiana Southeast

 

New Albany, IN: The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball team traveled to the Hoosier State on Friday, September 20th, to face a home-standing Indiana University Grenadiers club in River States Conference play.

 

IUS: 3; ALC: 0

In the opener, the home team grabbed an early lead and slowly pulled out to a 9-4 cushion. At that juncture, IUS rode a huge 13-3 burst to roar ahead, 22-9, on their way to a 25-14 win.

Game 2 saw a 7-7 tie before the Grenadiers rolled out a massive 18-5 blitz to close the game and pull out the 25-12 win.

Game 3, saw the hosts quickly take control, as they opened with a 7-1 run and slowly extend it. The Lady Eagles would get within six, at 16-10, but IUS pulled away enroute to a match-ending 25-14 victory.

ALC's Kyleah Ward led the club with 4 kills while TK Ellis and Jadyn Hall chipped in with 3 apiece. Rose Scotello handed out 8 assists. Gracie Gibson and Ellis each had a service ace while Ellis led with 8 digs. Camryn Thompson chipped in with 5.
