LEAVENWORTH, KAN. - The University of Saint Mary volleyball team opened conference play with a decisive 3-0 sweep over Avila University on Wednesday night. The Spires took control early, winning the first set 25-22 before dominating the second and third sets 25-14 and 25-15, respectively.
With the victory, Saint Mary improved to 11-7 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Spires showcased consistent execution across all three sets, capitalizing on strong serving and effective defense to secure the win.
