Skyhawks Fall to Ave Maria on Day One of RU Classic

WALESKA, Ga. (Nov.1, 2024) - The Point University Men's Basketball returned to the court on the road against Ave Maria University on the first day of the Reinhardt University Classic, where the Skyhawks fell to Ave Maria 105-74.

Ave Maria exploded out of the gate with an 18-point lead within the first eight minutes of the first half. Brandon Kincaid, Antwon Ferrell, and O'Brien Watkins made a handful of baskets to cut down the lead, 23-11. The lead was only cut down to 16 to end the first half 49-33.

More of the same came in the second half as Ave Maria continued to increase their lead, keeping ahead by 20. The Skyhawks attempted to keep it manageable, but the Gyrenes pulled away, controlling the game all the way to the end with a score of 105-74.

In the Box

Jacob Crockett and Vince Graves both had 15 points to lead the Skyhawks. Antwon Ferrell added to the points with 12.
