TIGERS DROP TIGHTLY CONTESTED MATCH AT NORTH PARK

HANOVER PARK, Ill. – After knocking off a nationally ranked opponent last week, the Olivet Nazarene University women's tennis team fell just short of their second-consecutive win with a tightly contested 4-3 setback at North Park Wednesday.

The Tigers jumped out to a fast start by securing the doubles point. Rafaela Luna and Natasha Nieto took the top doubles match 6-4, while Chieh-Yu Chen and Amatyleon teamed up to win the No. 2 match 6-2 to stake an early lead.

Nieto, the defending CCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, was victorious at No. 1 singles in straight sets 6-0, 7-6, and Chen won the No. 2 match 7-6, 7-5 to put the Tigers one point away from victory. But North Park rallied to take the final four singles matches to take the overall win.

ONU will close out the non-conference slate with two matches in Wisconsin this weekend.
