Takoma Park, MD – Washington Adventist University's women's soccer team suffered a tough 7-0 loss against the College of Southern Maryland on September 22, 2024. Despite their efforts on home turf, the Shock were overpowered by the visitors' relentless attack.
The College of Southern Maryland took control early, scoring three goals in the first half to establish a 3-0 lead by halftime. WAU's defense fought hard but struggled to contain the aggressive offense of their opponents. In the second half, Southern Maryland broke through repeatedly, adding four more goals to seal the dominant victory.
Despite the challenging result, WAU players showed determination, with standout efforts from Dulce Salces, who made nineteen key saves to limit further damage. The team will regroup and look to bounce back in their next matchup.
