No. 2 Men's Tennis Outswings Truett McConnell

ATHENS, Tenn.- The second-ranked men's tennis team was back in action on Thursday against the Truett McConnell University Bears. The team swept the AAC match, winning 7-0.  

Two 6-0 wins (No. 1 and No. 3 doubles) and a 6-1 win in No. 2 doubles helped TWU take the first point. Agustin Gaiaand Maceo Simpson along with Rocco Mariani and Zolio Rios won with 6-0 scores while Juan Carlos Garcia and Octavio Volpi won with the 6-1 score.

The rest of the way to the seven points saw the Bulldogs score wins by Volpi in the No. 1 singles (6-0, 6-1) Patricio Gallegos in the No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-1), Rios in the No. 3 singles (6-0, 6-0), Benjamin Poblete in the No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-1), Diego Blanco Goytia in the No. 5 singles (6-1, 6-1) and Andre Cabello in the No. 6 spot (6-0, 6-1). 

Tennessee Wesleyan (4-1, 2-0 AAC) returns to the Bowling-Coe Tennis Complex for an AAC match against Columbia College on Friday. The match is set to begin at 1:45 p.m.
