Williamsburg, Ky. – The No. 21 Union Commonwealth University men's tennis team played at No. 18 Cumberlands on Wednesday. The Bulldogs won the doubles point, but fell short 6-1.

 

Doubles:

Sebastian Stipanov and Artsiom Sinitsyn (Union) defeated Liam Savio and Gabriele Solda 6-4.

Luke Geduldt and Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Martin Couto and Bosco Fernandez 6-3.

Daniel Caballeros and Enzo Sebastien (Union) defeated Sampras Rakotondrainibe Sampras and Darius Kuster 6-2.

 

Singles:

Liam Savio defeated Artsiom Sinitsyn (Union) 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.

Juanchi Alcon defeated Luke Geduldt (Union) 7-6, 6-2.

Gabriele Solda defeated Victor Bourguignon (Union) 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.

Luis Marcos defeated Yassine Azehaf (Union) 6-1, 6-3.

Pierluigi Cruypenninck defeated Henning Ebersohn (Union) 7-6, 1-6, 7-6.

Lucas Augotr defeated Daniel Caballeros (Union) 7-5, 6-4.

 

The Bulldogs are now 1-4 this season, while Cumberlands is 1-5. Up next for UCU is a road match against Campbellsville on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 2:00 p.m.
