VALLEJO, Calif. – Cal Maritime outscored La Sierra in the second quarter to chip away at its early deficit and drew and matched the Golden Eagles' scoring in the third. But as the Keelhaulers drew closer to their opponent on the scoreboard, the visitors pulled away to earn a 73-61 victory.
Aysia Santos led CSUM with 14 points by recording four of her five field goals from three and Emily Newton added another 10 thanks to a pair of threes, a jumper and 2 of 3 made free throws.
Cal Maritime will play its final two games at home, starting with Tuesday's 5:30 p.m. non-conference finale vs. Lincoln (CA). The following Saturday, it will host Pacific Union in a 6:30 p.m. Senior Night rivalry contest in its final game of the year.
