LSUS Falls to Oklahoma Wesleyan on the Road, 72-82

SKIATOOK, Okla. – The LSUS men's basketball team suffered a tough road loss Thursday night, falling 82-72 to Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OKWU) in Skiatook, Okla. Despite strong individual performances from several players, the Pilots couldn't overcome the Eagles' balanced attack.
Leading the way for LSUS was Tyler Washington, who scored a team-high 19 points while adding six rebounds and two steals. Davion Coleman also had a solid outing, contributing 16 points and pulling down a team-high seven rebounds. Trey Boston chipped in 13 points, dished out four assists, and registered two steals.
The Pilots struggled to find their rhythm offensively, shooting just 34.9 percent from the field and 23.3 percent from beyond the arc. They were able to capitalize on opportunities at the free-throw line, converting 70 percent of their attempts.
OKWU was led by a dominant performance from Jaden Lietzke, who finished with a game-high 33 points and 11 rebounds. Jaden Wilson and Derrick Talton each added 13 points, with Talton dishing out a team-high seven assists. Nick Bene controlled the boards with a game-high 12 rebounds as the Eagles shot 43.2 percent from the field.
The Pilots will look to bounce back in their next game as they face off against Centenary College on October 30 at 6 p.m. in The Dock, where they aim to defend their home court in this early-season rivalry matchup.
