Barbourville, Ky. - The No. 24 Union Commonwealth University men's soccer team faced off against No. 10 Milligan on Wednesday night in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) matchup. The Bulldogs tied the Buffaloes 1-1.
With the draw, UCU has secured the top seed in the upcoming AAC Tournament and claimed the title of AAC Regular Season Co-Champions. On Saturday, the Bulldogs have the opportunity to secure the regular season title outright.
Isa Bramble scored in the first half to give Union an early 1-0 lead. However, the Buffaloes equalized in the last 15 minutes of the second half.
Bramble brought his season total to 11 goals, which solidifies his spot as one of the AAC's top-five scorers alongside Callum Edwards.
UCU registered nine shots with three on target. Milligan managed 20 shots, which included six on goal. Daniel Harrison delivered a season-high five saves.
The Bulldogs are now 11-1-2 (10-0-1 AAC) this season, while Milligan is 10-0-4 (8-0-3 AAC). Next for Union is a road conference match against Reinhardt on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 7:00 p.m.
