Pilots Open RRAC Play with 73-60 Road Victory Over Texas A&M University-Texarkana

TEXARKANA, Texas – The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) Pilots opened Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) play with an impressive 73-60 victory over the Texas A&M University-Texarkana (TAMUT) Eagles on Tuesday evening. The Pilots showcased a balanced offensive attack, with standout performances from Helena Galunic and Selma Markisic, who each posted 14 points. Tiarra Tillison contributed 12 points, while Erynn Williams added 11 points and a game-high eight steals. Paula Gonzalez Herrero commanded the glass, collecting eight rebounds.

The Pilots demonstrated efficiency from the field, shooting 46.7 percent overall, despite a modest 23.5 percent from three-point range. They were solid from the free-throw line, converting 77.1 percent of their attempts.

TAMUT was led by Kayla Williams, who posted a game-high 24 points and added eight rebounds. Nailah Zetrenne contributed with nine rebounds, also a game high, for the Eagles. The home team shot 33.8 percent from the field, including 30.8 percent from beyond the arc and 53.3 percent from the free-throw line.

With this road win, LSUS builds momentum as they head into their next matchup. The Pilots will travel to Hawkins, Texas, to face Jarvis Christian University on Saturday, Nov. 16. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
