No. 8 Baker Cruises to Blowout Win over Culver-Stockton, 94-68

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - No. 8 Baker took care of business in its last home game before a four-game road trip, blowing out Culver-Stockton, 94-68 on Saturday afternoon in the Collins Center.

BU shot nearly 60 percent from the floor (35-for-59) and drained 11 threes to notch its third-highest point total of the season with the team's season-high coming in the first matchup against C-SC in a 100-57 victory in Canton, Mo. in November.

Quentin Harvey scored over 24 points for the second straight game, finishing with a team-best 25 points and five rebounds. Kaimen Lennox had 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal off the bench.

The game got off to a bit of a slow start for both sides with Harvey connecting on an early three for BU and Noah Rigatuso hitting a couple of shots to give Baker a quick lead.

Ahmed Mahgoub drilled a three in transition and BU worked up a double-digit lead over 10 minutes into the game with a stick-back from Harvey making it a 23-12 lead for the hosts.

After a Lennox three, Mahgoub threw down a one-handed jam on a breakaway to keep BU rolling. Harvey's second triple of the half gave Baker an 18-point lead with over five minutes left until halftime.

Lennox and Ty Henry each hit a shot from deep to push Baker's lead out to 20 points and Henry got a second-chance layup to fall before the buzzer as BU took a 50-30 lead into the break.

The 'Cats continued to pour it on from there with Henry immediately draining a three out of halftime and Nick Whittick adding another one a little bit later as Baker maintained its healthy lead.

Harvey and Whittick chipped in another set of treys to balloon BU's lead out to a 30-point margin before Baker started turning things over to its bench for the remainder of the game.

Cason Richardson hit a couple of shots for BU during the home stretch, including the final three as Baker finished off another wire-to-wire victory with a 94-68 win.

Baker opens up a tough four-game road stretch with a makeup game against William Penn scheduled for Monday, Jan. 20 at 3 p.m. in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
