GOODWELL, Okla.: Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggie women's basketball team notched their first conference victory of the season with a 63-56 win over Central Christian College, energizing the home crowd with a resilient comeback performance.

The Aggies overcame a slow start, trailing 26-8 at the end of the first quarter, before bouncing back with a powerful second-quarter surge. Outscoring Central Christian 25-13 in the second frame, the Aggies closed the gap and continued to dominate, holding the Tigers to just five points in the third quarter. The Aggies' stifling defense and balanced scoring proved to be the difference-maker as they held on through a competitive final quarter to clinch the win.

Molly Jones led all scorers with an impressive 15 points, hitting five three-pointers on 5-for-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Heidi Rodriguez contributed in multiple ways, tallying 7 points, six assists, and five steals, helping to fuel the Aggies' comeback. Jamiah Clay provided a crucial presence off the bench, adding 10 points and pulling seven rebounds.

The Aggies' team effort was evident in the balanced contributions on both floor ends. Mariah Williams scored 9 points, and Lyric Carpenter and Zamari Reece chipped in 6 points each, showcasing the depth of the Aggies' roster.

Head Coach Wiltzius praised her team's resilience after the challenging start. "We went back to our basics after the first quarter, and we were able to break their press. We still have a young team, but now they've realized the importance of showing up right out of the gate," Wiltzius said. "This young team has a bright future."
